This is Chipwitch Today, your daily source of reliable data upon which you can base your daily practice.
Solar activity reached moderate levels. Region 3480 (S09E40, Dai/beta) produced two impulsive M1 flares at 05/1143 UTC and 05/1432 UTC. New Region 3482 (N02E68, Hrx/alpha) was numbered. No meaningful changes from the previous reporting period were observed in the five regions with spots. No Earth-directed CMEs were detected.
The solar kp index is active, reinforcing retrograde effects. The solar wind speed is high, making retrograde effects significantly increased!
The solar wind environment became strongly enhanced following the arrival of two distinct interplanetary shocks which are thought to be the arrival of CMEs from 02 and 03 Nov. The first shock was observed in solar wind data beginning at 05/0810 UTC, after which total field strength increased to 34 nT and Bz deflected southward to a peak of -27 nT. Solar wind speeds increased to a peak of only 434 km/s following the initial shock arrival.
There is a 15% chance of solar activity, with a 25% chance of a minor event, a 35% chance of a moderate event, and a 25% chance of a strong event.

Holy cosmic dustbunnies, folks! Mars is moonwalking its way into Scorpio and, let me tell you, it's about to get more heated than a Star Trek convention at a chili cook-off. If you thought Mars was all "Live long and prosper," think again. In Scorpio, Mars is the equivalent of that one friend who, after one too many Romulan ales, starts arm-wrestling everyone and insists on being called "Captain."
During this celestial tango, your willpower might feel like it’s been supercharged by a warp core. You may be tempted to Hulk-smash your way through life, rewriting every rule in the Federation Handbook. Just remember, nobody likes a dictator, not even in a galaxy far, far away.
On the flip side, Mars in Scorpio has a darker allure, much like Darth Vader. It thrives in places as mysterious as the dark side of The Force itself. This planetary alignment could be your golden ticket for some deep self-reflection. Think of it as a Vulcan mind meld with your subconscious - it's time to boldly go where no man has gone before!
But beware, my young Jedi. Fiery Mars chilling out in watery Scorpio can turn you into an emotional Death Star, ready to obliterate relationships faster than you can say "It's a trap!" Use your newfound intensity as a lightsaber, not a blaster. To paraphrase Yoda, "Destroy relationships, it must not. Constructive, you must be."
Think of Mars in Scorpio as your personal spiritual boot camp. It's like training to be a Jedi, but without the creepy ghost mentors or questionable midi-chlorians. If you can avoid turning to the dark side (read: power struggles, revenge, bitterness), you'll come out of this more powerful than you could possibly imagine. May the force be with you!
Jupiter
Jupiter is in Taurus
Jupiter is retrograde at 10 Tau 05' 37", moving backwards at 0.14 degrees per day, and is 596200804km away and receding.
Alright cosmic voyagers, grab your calculators and tie-dye shirts because we're diving deep into the cosmos today. Jupiter, our resident galactic overachiever, is kicking back in Taurus' celestial man cave, and the vibes are...well, let's just say they're "earthy." Remember, Jupiter is a whopping 596,193,050.653755784km away (I bet you didn't know that, huh?), giving us all a lesson in social distancing.
Now, some of you might think this is a case of an interstellar mismatch. Jupiter, the planet of wisdom, hanging out with Taurus, the zodiac's most stubborn sign? But don't judge a book by its cover or a planet by its sign. This is the cosmic equivalent of that quiet kid from high school who suddenly became super cool at the reunion. The combo of Jupiter and Taurus is here to remind us that wisdom isn't found in a dusty old library; it's within us, disguised as that funny feeling in your gut when you know you're about to do something...questionable.
Jupiter in Taurus is like having your own personal life coach. It's whispering sweet motivational quotes in your ear, encouraging you to chase after your dreams like they're the ice cream truck on a hot summer day. So, roll up your sleeves, dig out that to-do list you've been ignoring, and start ticking off those tasks one by one. With Jupiter's go-getter attitude and Taurus' stubbornness, you'll find yourself crossing the finish line in no time!
And let's not forget about the big M: money. Jupiter is like that rich uncle who always shows up to family gatherings with expensive gifts, and Taurus is all about luxury. So, when these two get together, it's like winning the cosmic lottery. Time to check your bank account, because there might be some extra zeros at the end!
But hold on to your horoscopes, folks, because Taurus also has a penchant for indulgence. You know that feeling when you walk into a bakery and you just HAVE to have that extra-large, double chocolate muffin? That's Taurus talking. So, remember to balance your needs and wants. After all, Jupiter may be in retrograde, but that doesn't mean
Saturn
Saturn is in Pisces
Saturn is prograde at 00 Pis 31' 01", moving at 0 degrees per day, and is 1408987917km away and receding.
All right, star gazers, gather 'round. It's time to talk about Saturn in Pisces. You know, that big ol' ringed rock hanging out a mere 1,408,905,573.539975643km away? Yeah, that one. It's going prograde and breaking all the rules, like a celestial James Dean in a leather jacket and a space helmet.
But what does it all mean? Imagine Saturn as your cosmic life coach, ready to whip you into shape and turn your daydreams into reality. This is the moment to dust off that manuscript you've been hiding under your bed, or start planning that business you've always fantasised about. Grab a notepad and a pen, folks, because we're getting a lesson straight from the cosmos itself.
Now, let's be real. Saturn is like that parent who insists on barging into your room, even when your "Keep Out" sign is clearly displayed. He's here to challenge your dreams, and you might feel a tad invaded. But instead of slamming the door in his face, try listening to what he has to say. It might be the best advice you never wanted to hear.
While all this is happening, you might find yourself as restless as a caffeinated hamster. That's because Pisces, the dreamy, sleepy sign, is getting a wake-up call from Saturn. If you're having trouble sleeping, why not try some hippie-approved remedies? Meditate, take a stroll through nature, breathe, nap with a dream journal on standby. Heck, go wild and try to get a full night's sleep! The universe is talking, my friends, and it's time for us to listen.
So grab your telescopes, tighten your Birkenstocks, and get ready for some serious celestial spring cleaning. Saturn in Pisces is here, and it's time to make our dreams come true.
Uranus
Uranus is in Taurus
Uranus is retrograde at 21 Tau 22' 17", moving backwards at 0.04 degrees per day, and is 2788447245km away and approaching.
Alright, cosmic cowboys and cowgirls, it's time to strap in and hold on tight because Uranus, the celestial rodeo clown of our solar system, is currently shaking things up in Taurus, the zodiac's most stubborn bull. Now, I know what you're thinking: "Uranus is how far away? And it's doing what now?" But bear with me, folks. Despite the staggering distance of 2,788,457,523.978518486km (yeah, that's a lot of zeros), what happens in the far reaches of space can still have a profound impact on our lives here on terra firma.
Now, Taurus is a creature of habit. This sign loves its comfort zone like a hobbit loves second breakfast. But Uranus? Well, Uranus is about as predictable as a quantum physics equation after a six-pack of Red Bull. It's all about sudden, drastic changes and shaking things up. It's like the mad scientist of the cosmos, cackling gleefully as it throws another wrench into the gears of the status quo.
And where does this mad scientist have its sights set? On our wallets, of course! Taurus rules money, so with Uranus tinkering in this sign, we could see some strange, revolutionary shifts in how we handle our cash and resources. Imagine if the Star Wars Galactic Credit Standard suddenly became the global currency, or Wall Street morphed into a game of intergalactic Monopoly. Yeah, it's going to be that wild.
But hold on, there's a silver lining here. Yes, Uranus in Taurus might sound like a recipe for financial chaos, but it's also a call to liberate ourselves from the chains of materialism. Debt, taxes, the never-ending cycle of rent and mortgages – these are the ties that bind. But Uranus is here with its cosmic bolt cutters, urging us to redefine our relationship with the almighty dollar.
Resistance is futile, my friends. Remember, this is a bull ride, not a tea party. The changes coming our way could actually lead to greater stability in the long run. So buckle up, lean into the changes, and enjoy the ride. This cosmic rodeo ain't slowing down!
Neptune
Neptune is in Pisces
Neptune is retrograde at 25 Pis 08' 23", moving backwards at 0.02 degrees per day, and is 4373999842km away and receding.
Pluto
Pluto is in Capricorn
Pluto is prograde at 28 Cap 03' 33", moving at 0.01 degrees per day, and is 5256405544km away and receding.
Alright star children, get ready to boogie because Pluto, our favorite misunderstood dwarf planet (it's still a planet in my heart), is doing the cosmic cha-cha in the sign of Capricorn! And let me tell you, it's like watching Bill Gates at a disco - all business, but not afraid to bust a move!
Now, both Pluto and Capricorn share a passion for power and success that rivals a caffeinated squirrel on a mission to gather nuts. But be careful, my celestial voyagers, because this transit might make us about as compassionate as a charging rhinoceros with a toothache. Remember the golden rule: just because you're busy climbing the corporate ladder doesn't mean you can kick someone else off it.
But here's where things get fun. Pluto, the intergalactic Marie Kondo, is all about sparking joy by getting rid of what no longer serves us. You know, like those old habits, toxic relationships, and maybe that neon '80s windbreaker you've been holding onto. Sure, it's going to involve a bit of chaos, but hey, who said spring cleaning had to be boring?
So strap in, stargazers. It's time to shake, rattle, and roll with the cosmic rhythms. And remember, you're not just destroying - you're creating! Don't worry if you don't have a blueprint, just follow your inner GPS. It might not always make sense (like why do we park on driveways and drive on parkways?), but trust me, it knows where it's going.
The Sun
You should have lots of energy and vitality today. Go out and get some exercise. Be careful not to get into arguments with your superiors or with people in authority, like policemen. Avoid confrontations that involve your ego. Instead, channel the energy and potential hostility into something creative like your favorite hobby. The important thing is to express yourself in a constructive manner. How about playing in the park with a group of children? Do not overexert yourself or put too much strain on your heart. This means controlling your temper. Anger is one of the hardest things on your heart. Don't lay out in the sun too long. You may burn easier today than normal. Watch yourself around the stove or anything hot. Focus on being humble. Put your ego in the backseat.
The Sun
Today will be one of optimism and self-confidence. Your only danger is in becoming over-confident. Don't bite off more than you can chew. Watch the tendency towards self-aggrandizement, false pride, and over-indulgence in food and drink. Don't overspend.
Although their intentions are generally good, people with challenging aspects between the Sun and Jupiter are given to overdoing things. They can easily gloss over realistic details and get themselves into debt, overindulge in pleasures such as food and drink, and promise more than they can deliver.
For the most part, they find help for their excesses. Somebody’s there to bail them out, as plenty of people believe that their hearts are in the right place. Generally, this is the case, but if excessive behavior becomes a pattern, and the natives continually face light consequences, there is the danger that they will not learn from their mistakes and abuse the “system”, relying on their friends and family to help them out a little too often. Their reputation for being good people, thus, can eventually be used to further their purposes.
However, many people with this aspect don’t fall into the trap of losing their sincerity. They are generous, helpful, and charitable. Still, the tendency to live beyond their means is a real threat that many struggle with much of their lives. Another thing to watch for is depression. These people tend to go through periods of intense highs when they are excessively optimistic. These periods are so marked that they seem to be unnatural and a fall seems to be inevitable. They can make promises they intend to keep, but have a problem with follow-through. Self-control can be a real problem. Usually quite knowledgeable and generous with their time, these people have many talents that they may take for granted.
Some Famous People with Sun in Hard Aspect to Jupiter: Squares – Billy Crystal, Ian Scott Anderson (Jethro Tull), Nell Carter, Edgar Cayce, Linda Goodman, George Lucas, the Olsen twins, Dolly Parton, John Ritter, Oscar Wilde; Oppositions – Robert Duvall, Beau Bridges, Monica Lewinsky, James Earl Jones, Kevin Costner.
Alternate interpretations:
Note: The square, semi-square, sesquiquadrate, and opposition are also called “hard”, “challenging”, or “inharmonious” aspects.
Sun opposition Jupiter: Children with this aspect often need to learn to listen, because they may have a tendency of doing the opposite of what they are told! Basically a positive placement indicating enormous energy and radiance, the pitfall of the Sun/Jupiter opposition is overconfidence manifesting as a tendency to take on too many projects at once or a tendency to delve into projects without prior training. There is a tendency to think “I can do anything!” which is fine as long as the child is willing to go through the necessary training to get there! He could get carried away when it comes to vocational choices, following rainbows! This going against himself, so to speak, may also bring him in opposition to those in authority. Help him examine carefully the choices he makes. Insist he finish what he begins, and insist he promise only that which objectively can be fulfilled. Teach your child the importance of right timing and punctuality! Check the nature of the signs and houses that the Sun and Jupiter are in for greater insight in balancing the qualities of this polarity. — Interpretation from the Child Star Report.
Sun opposition Jupiter: You aim high, dream big dreams, and have a tremendous sense of what is possible for you to achieve. Overconfidence, grandiosity, lack of humility, and/or extreme discontent in modest circumstances may be your faults. Generally, however, your great expectations and enterprising spirit lead to success. Business, especially when there is an element of risk and speculation, suits you well. — Interpretation from the Merlin Report.
Sun opposition Jupiter: Sometimes you’re prone to unrealistically high expectations, and this in turn can cause frustration when real life doesn’t measure up.
Your optimism and self-confidence will go through periods of being exceedingly high, making you feel invincible. You’ll experience more satisfaction if you take the time to think things through and proceed with patience and even a certain amount of caution. — Interpretation from the Your Life Path Report.

Your emotions are deep and powerful. As they say, still waters run deep. Today might be a good day to redecorate or make other changes to your home with the hope of bringing greater beauty and harmony into your life. It's a good time to find new uses for old or discarded items which no longer serve your purposes. Emotional self-regeneration is possible with these energies.
