Solar Activity
Solar activity reached high levels due to an M5.5 flare at 04/1541 UTC from Region 3883 (S06E28, Eki/beta-gamma-delta). Region 3883 was the primary producer of flare activity over the period. Decay and separation was observed in the leading spots of Region 3883. Growth was observed in the southern and trailing spots of Region 3886 (S07E58, Eki/beta-gamma). New spots emerged in the NW quadrant near N15W47 and will be numbered as spot reports become available. The rest of the spotted regions were either stable or in decay.
Solar Wind
Solar wind parameters were mildly enhanced under positive CH HSS influences. Solar wind speed averaged around 442 km/s. Total field ranged from 4-9 nT while the Bz component was variable between +7/-6 nT. Phi angle was predominantly positive.
Energetic Particle
The greater than 2 MeV electron flux has been at normal to moderate levels. The greater than 10 MeV proton flux decreased to background levels.
