The solar wind environment was suggestive of a positive polarity CH HSS that had been anticipated. Total magnetic field strength peaked at 15 nT at 21/0704 UTC, and Bz underwent two, 1-2 hour stretches in a southward deviation, peaking at -12 nT at 21/0605 UTC. The phi angle was negative until about 21/15 UTC, then flipped to positive, allowing for the onset of the HSS. Wind speeds began to increase with the phi change, jumping from near 350 km/s to just shy of 450 km/s, before leveling off closer to 425 km/s through the remainder of the day. There is a 30% chance of solar activity, with a 15% chance of a minor event, a 1% chance of a moderate event, and a 1% chance of a strong event.
